What is the Stuff the Bus Campaign?
Stuff the Bus Campaign is a joint effort between Northumberland County Schools Federal Credit Union and the community in which it serves to provide children in need with backpacks and school supplies for the upcoming school year.
How does it work?
A "school bus" is located in the Credit Union lobby at 603 Center St. Milton, PA 17847 throughout the month of August. Members of the community may drop off donations during our normal business hours of Monday – Wednesday: 9 AM to 4 PM; Thursday: 9 AM – 5 PM; and Friday: 9 AM – 5:30 PM. Items will be sorted and distributed to the schools that the students attend.
Why should I participate?
Too many of our children start the school year without the items they need to be successful. If education is the key to a better future, we must provide all students with the tools necessary to succeed in school and prepare for life.
We encourage all community members to donate school supplies during the month of August. With every donation made, your name will be entered into a prize drawing for a Visa® Gift Card as a thank-you for your support.
In correlation with the "STUFF THE BUS" campaign, we will be hosting a Child Safety Event, August 18th with child safety seat inspections performed by the Pennsylvania State Police from 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM at the Credit Union.
